The 2017/2018 application deadline is Monday, April 10, 2017.

Inaugurated in 2012, the UCR Chancellor's Research Fellowship awards thirteen undergraduate students up to $5,750.  $5,000 is to be awarded as a summer research stipend, and $750 will be disbursed throughout the academic year to support presenting research at a national discipline specific conference or other research related travel, or for materials and supplies to conduct a research or creative activity project.

Fellows participate in the program starting on July 1st of the academic year and end on June 30th.  This fellowship provides an enhanced learning context for the selected undergraduate researchers, including the opportunity to interact with the UCR Chancellor, other key UCR officials, and with  distinguished visiting guest speakers.  Additionally, the Office of Student Success Programs provides mentorship and guidance throughout the year.

All UC Riverside undergraduate students involved in faculty mentored research with sophomore or junior standing and a minimum GPA of 3.0 are encouraged to apply for this opportunity.  Please note that all applicants for this award must attend a CRF Application Workshop, please click here for the schedule of upcoming workshops.
